Membership Information

Objectives of CCI

The Canadian Condominium Institute is Canada's only non-profit organization devoted exclusively to members of the condominium community including owners, directors and individual and corporate service providers. The membership interaction facilitated by CCI enables this organization to fulfill its objectives which are:

• education - through courses and seminars designed to assist participants in conducting the affairs of a corporation in an appropriate manner
  
• advice and referrals - by offering advice to members regarding problems or providing referrals to available professionals
  
• advocacy - providing expertise to provincial governments to foster relevant legislation that improves the legal framework in which corporations and professionals must function
  
• development of standards - standards of competence have been (and will continue to be) developed in key areas pertaining to condominium living and management including law, property management and accounting

Benefits of CCI Membership

• receive the benefit of membership rates at specially formatted education programs on current topics such as condominium insurance, law, reserve fund studies etc.

Membership Categories

The following are definitions of each of the member categories:

Condominium Corporation

Condominium corporation memberships are for registered corporations only. This type of membership includes all unit owners of a corporation.

Individual Membership

Individual memberships are for any owner or occupant of a condominium unit or any other person interested in furthering the objectives of CCI.

Professional Membership

Professional memberships are for individuals who derive a portion of income from serving the condominium industry and who are in a profession established by CCI as eligible for A.C.C.I. designations. Currently, eligible professions are accounting, appraisal, architecture, engineering, insurance, land surveying, law, property management and real estate.

Sponsor Membership

Sponsor membership is for an incorporated company, partnership, sole proprietorship, agency, institution, firm or other business entity involved in the condominium sector.
